Paste the result into a display name or bio. A TikTok or Instagram @username accepts only letters, numbers, dots and underscores — decorated characters are rejected there.

Where these are accepted

Tested per field — the honest version
App / field Decoration Limit Last tested What actually happens
TikTok username (@handle) Rejected / stripped 2–24 characters August 2026 Letters, numbers, underscore and dot only, and it cannot start or end with a dot. Decorated characters are rejected outright.
TikTok display name Accepted No decoration limit found August 2026 Accepts symbols, kaomoji and decorated combos. This is the field every "TikTok font" guide actually means.
Instagram bio & name Accepted Both fields accept decoration August 2026 Bio and display name both take decorated characters. The @username does not.
Game display names (Roblox, Free Fire) Rejected / stripped Emoji stripped; text marks usually pass Not tested in-game Colour emoji are stripped from most in-game name fields, while plain marks — ⋆ ★ 𐙚 ୨୧ ✧ — usually survive. Each game runs its own private filter and changes it without notice, so use the rename preview before you confirm.
Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp Accepted Long combining stacks may be trimmed August 2026 Display names and messages accept the full range. Very long combining stacks may be trimmed in narrow layouts.

Platform filters are undocumented and change without notice, so we re-test rather than copy forward — see how we curate and verify.

This page is the character supply, not a name generator: you bring the name, these are the marks you wrap around it. The pattern that works almost everywhere is one bracket pair plus one accent — ⋆ name ⋆ or ꒰ name ꒱ — rather than a wall of different symbols.

A name field counts characters, not letters — a frame plus an accent can use six of a sixteen-character limit.

Everything here is plain Unicode text, so it pastes into a display name, a bio or a caption with no font install. Where it will not paste is an @username field, which accepts only letters, numbers, dots and underscores.

How to build a decorated name

  • Pick one frame: ꧁ ꧂ for a heavy gamer look, ꒰ ꒱ for soft, 「 」 for a clean Japanese-style bracket, ⋆ ⋆ for minimal.
  • Add one accent, not five: a single ★ or 𐙚 next to the name reads as design; six different marks read as clutter.
  • Mind the length: most name fields cap around 16–24 characters, and every decorative mark counts. Count the frame before you fall in love with it.
  • Test before you commit: paste it into a chat message on the same platform first. If it renders there it will render in the name.
Symmetry is what makes a decorated name look deliberate: whatever you put on the left, mirror it on the right — ⋆˚ name ˚⋆ rather than ⋆˚ name ⋆.

Symbols that pass Free Fire, Roblox and Instagram name filters

Name fields do not all filter the same way, and the pattern is consistent enough to plan around. What survives almost everywhere are real letters and ordinary symbols; what gets stripped are colour emoji and, on some platforms, the mathematical "fancy font" alphabet.

Roblox display nameA conservative set — stick to ⋆ ★ ♡ ✧ and test; Roblox moderates names activelyEmoji, most non-Latin scripts, anything its filter reads as evasion
Instagram name & bioEverything on this page, emoji includedNothing — this field is permissive
Instagram / TikTok @usernameLetters, numbers, dots and underscores onlyEvery decorative character, without exception

Two rules make the difference. First, count your characters — a frame plus an accent can eat six of a sixteen-character limit. Second, test in chat first: if the platform renders it in a message it will almost always accept it in a name, and if it does not, you have lost nothing. Where a name reverts to plain letters after saving, the platform normalised it rather than filtered it — that is explained under why an emoji shows as a box.

These frames work in any script — Arabic, Spanish, Turkish and beyond

The frames on this page are containers, not letters, so they do not care what alphabet sits between them. ꧁ ꧂ around a Latin name behaves exactly as it does around Arabic, Cyrillic or Thai — the brackets are Javanese punctuation either way.

Two things do change with the script:

  • Right-to-left text. With Arabic, Hebrew or Persian, the visual order of your frame can flip: a bracket you typed on the left may display on the right. Fix it by choosing a symmetrical pair that reads the same either way — ⋆ name ⋆ or ✧ name ✧ — rather than a directional one like 「 」.
  • Accented letters. Spanish and Turkish names carry á é í ñ ç ğ ş ı. These are ordinary letters and survive everywhere a plain letter does, including game name fields. They are not affected by the emoji filters at all.

What does not vary is the length limit: a name field counts characters, not letters, so a frame costs the same wherever it is used.

Symbol meanings

꧁ ꧂Javanese rerenggan (U+A9C1, U+A9C2) — the classic wide gamer-name frame.
꒰ ꒱Yi radicals (U+A4B0, U+A4B1) used as soft brackets.
「 」CJK corner brackets (U+300C, U+300D) — clean and narrow.
STAR OPERATOR (U+22C6) — the most widely supported small star.
𐙚LINEAR A SIGN A306 (U+1065A) — a Bronze Age sign now used as a tiny bow.
୨୧Oriya digits two and one (U+0B68, U+0B67) mirrored to make a heart-shaped frame.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use these in a TikTok or Instagram username? No. The @username field accepts only letters, numbers, dots and underscores. The display name and the bio accept the full range, and that is where decorated names actually live.
Will they work in a game name?Plain marks such as ⋆ ★ ꧁ ꧂ ᓚᘏᗢ usually survive. Colour emoji are stripped by most shooters. Test in chat first, and remember that decorative characters count toward the character limit.
What is ꧁ ꧂?They are Javanese punctuation — LEFT and RIGHT RERENGGAN (U+A9C1, U+A9C2). They became the standard gamer-name frame because they are wide, symmetrical and available in most fonts.
Why do some symbols disappear when I paste them? The field is filtering them, or the device has no font for that character. A character that vanishes entirely was usually stripped by the platform, not by the copy.
