Flower symbols split neatly in two. ✿ ❀ ❁ ✾ ⚘ are text characters — most of them are formally florettes or decorative asterisks, ornaments from the days of metal type — so they take the colour of the words around them and paste into a name field without an app. 🌸 🌷 🌹 are emoji: fixed-colour pictures that many game and username fields strip.

Only one character in the whole set, ⚘, is actually named FLOWER by Unicode. The rest were designed as printers’ ornaments and were adopted as flowers later. Everything below is listed with its real code point and Unicode name, read from the Unicode character database.

How to use flower symbols

The colour flowers are a separate matter entirely.

🌸 🌷 🌹 💐 are emoji. Fixed-colour pictures. Most game name fields strip them.
✿ ❀ ⚘ are text. They take your colour and usually pass.

So a bio can carry either, but a strict username field will keep only the text ones — the same rule as the green ✅ and the black ✔.

Every flower emoji and how it is read

The colour flowers are emoji, so their shape and colour are fixed and their names are decided by Unicode — not by what people read into them. Both are listed below, kept apart on purpose.
